I earned my degree in creative writing from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and put it to good use when I started freelancing in 2020. Like most beginning freelancers, I did a little bit of everything, but I quickly discovered that my favorite projects involved digging deep into challenging topics. Doing in-depth research and poring through academic texts feels like a scavenger hunt to me. I quickly learned how to untangle technical jargon and decompress data, then clarify it for the reader.

Speaking of jargon, I’m fluent in SEO and marketing speak. I can definitely talk analytics and conversion funnels, if that’s your bag.

When I’m not working, I’m still writing. I can’t help it; it’s some kind of weird creative compulsion. I write fiction under a pen name and intend to self-publish my first novel in 2023. I’m also the voice of In Tune Piano Supply, a family business dedicated to making piano maintenance accessible for everyone. I even wrote a whole book about how you — yes, you — can repair our own piano.

Outside of work, I’m a casual Avs fan, competitive knitter (yes, it’s a thing), dog lover, coffee drinker, book reader, and dad joke enthusiast. I live in Wisconsin with my husband, two sons, and spunky dachshund.
